The Royal Government of Cambodia is committed to create between 200,000 and 300,000 new jobs annually.
The commitment was underscored by Prime Minister Hun Sen while holding over a get-together with some 19,000 workers and employees from 13 factories and enterprises in Phnom Penh capital city and Kandal province, held at MorodokTecho National Stadium in Khan ChroyChangvar, Phnom Penh Saturday morning.
Mr Hun Sen reaffirmed that the Royal Government will do its best to provide jobs for the people. Existing investments are encouraged to be expanded while new investments are attracted to set up factories-enterprises to create jobs for the locals, he added.
During the five-year term of the Prime Minister, 1,500,000 jobs must be created, the Premier said, stressing that at the same time, the Royal Government will have to pay for vocational training for 1.5 million young people from a poor and vulnerable background.
This is a specific program the Royal Government has set out while striving to further develop road infrastructure, water and electricity to attract more investors, the prime minister stressed. C. Nika – AKP
